Let's take a lot money from, umm.. somewhere, and then let's fly to all those places and get all the footage *bravotaliesin, superidea* It seems we just don't have the material to produce this kind of project.. :/ Or, we let the whole "story" at one place (somewhere in Germany for example), but then it's going to be a bit difficult to make it interesting

I do not think that needs "much" to be interesting, the song itself gives already much interest! You can create a video in the vein of Dunkelheit of Burzum, of course not the same... but as an example is very good... in my poor opinion. Not too much badget for the creation of it and a very nice one as well... The greatest of course would be a video in the vein of Bathory - One Rode to Asa Bay...but I guess its very hard to create a video like this!!!

The video of Bathory's "One Rode To Asa Bay" is for sure one of the greatest videoclips ever made in the history of metal (besides "Back On Earth" from Ozzy Osbourne), and I am sure it's not so difficult to make such video. The only things you need are:
- A re-enactment group that can offer you weapons, horses, clothing, actors/re-enactors.
- Someone who can handle a camera and has an eye for great shots. (I prefer the old look of sepia, but those things could of course be manipulated by many computer programs).
- A story (from the lyrics) with a perfect dreamy location.
- Someone who knows about editing.
*Note also the small details in Bathory's videoclip and you'll notice small fragments of a movie which fits perfectly with the rest of the scenes. (I know, for this you may need permission from the author). That's how I see a great videoclip, a good story surrounded in a perfect dreamy location, combined with fragments of a suitable movie. In my opinion not so difficult to make, especially not when you are in a re-enactment group yourself. Whether for an amateur or proffessional videoclip...I think it's a good challenge...but if you use it with meaning to make a fan-videoclip for a band...then I am of certain meaning that you should leave it to the band itself.
(ps: I still can't remember the name of the movie in the Bathory videoclip, perhaps my brain is getting tired...does someone remember the name?)
regards

- A re-enactment group that can offer you weapons, horses, clothing, actors/re-enactors. But isn't this exactly what most Paganmetal videoclips include? I think this theme is just too popular and it's hard to do something remarkable... It would be bad if the viewer would think "Oh no, not another Knight-Battle-Medieval clip.."

Depends of if this video will make the difference and not be able someone to say "oh no another blabla" ... but again as I told it's rather hard to manage to make it... thats why my first propousal was in the vein of Dunkelheit

PS: I hope this place comes to life a bit more again

Thank you Valkyrie and yeah, fresh ideas is what we need now, but it seems the creator of this idea is absent at the moment..
