„Of Forests Unknown“ ziehen.
an „Heralding-The Fireblade“ oder „Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri“
erinnert.
zudem jede Art Gesang.

On 7th of march Vratyas will enter the Tidalwave Studio
for the recording of the new album.
The perfect time to come up with a couple of questions:
First of all: what can you tell us about the new material?
So far there are 12 songs, but maybe not every song will
make its way on the final release. That´s why I cannot tell
you the total running time of the new album at the moment.
What are the reasons for why a song won´t be part of the release?
It´s hard to say. Havamal for example I tried to record as a part
of “Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty” already, and same goes for “Roman Land”.
We recorded drums as well as all guitars and bass for both tracks,
but at no point they did sound the right way .
Maybe it´s been the wrong time for them to be recorded,
I do not force songs to come to my mind, and I do also not force
them to be part of an album. You never know in advance what songs
exactly will sound the “right” way, and so it´s with this album, too.
Do you have the album title for us already?
Unfortunately not, the album title usually is one of the last
things that are done for an album. There´re several provisional
working titles, taken from possible song titles or lyrics,
like “Åsa”, “Bluot voer Bluot” or “Lintinbluotin faran”.
And while we´re on the subject of song titles...
Also the song titles are mainly provisional so far.
“Åsa” and “Bluot voer Bluot” might be two of them,
“beloved feral winter”and “Ufirstanan”two more.
What can you tell us about the songs,
what kind of album can we expect?
It heavily depends on the recording process,
the sound, the things that will be added during the recordings.
Sometimes I expect a song to sound like this or that, and in the
end it sounds totally different, but -right-, and that´s what´s important.
So, you never know in advance how exactly a Falkenbach songs will sound.
However – there´re some more fast parts than usual, talking about the
drums, pace/rhythm maybe comparable to songs like “Galdralag”,
“Laeknishendr” or “Of Forests Unknown”. Depending on the
acoustic guitars, some of the tracks could have also been part of
“Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty” or “Tiurida”. Some others might have a more “driving”
and “impelling” character, as you can find on “Heralding – The Fireblade” or
“Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri”. And last but not least, there´s somehow
this little difference that comes with every new album.
In the end time will tell, songs sound the way they want, not
the way they´re expected to sound.
Do you know when the album is going to be released?
I do not even know when exactly the 2nd part of the recordings
at Tidalwave Studio will take place to be honest.
During the 1st part, the plan is to record drums,
guitars, bass, and keyboards.
The 2nd part will include (if still missing) keyboards,
additional acoustic guitars, complemental percussions,
and hopefully several more live instruments I would like to add.
And last but not least the clean vocals and screams.
The 3rd part will be the mixing, 4th and last part is the mastering.
So, maybe a release can be expected for autumn this year.
But that´s up to Prophecy Prod.
