Please don't hit me^^
So, in my opinion, there is only one thing to critizise:
Vratyas writes very good melodies, but often the same melody is repeated too often, so some songs become a bit boring, when you listen too often. But after a pause, it gets better again^^ For example in "When Gjallarhorn will sound", the same (great) melody is repeated over and over again in a 8-min song, except for the Black Metal-Parts. Well, it is like that on the Magni Blandin...- Album, on Ok Nefna... it is much better, I think.
Though, it is good music.

THAT is the BEST fact in Falkenbach's music!!
Because of that fact, the songs get atmosphere and you can put your DREAMS in them.

Owyn, when you think Vratyas is playin' a melody too many times, try to do something like a puzzle or a vessel in a bottle, those melodies will help you fillin' and killin' your time and doin' this way, you will headbang every second thanks to those repetead melodies, trust me matey  ...'till next time... |

Hmm, maybe I try it while reading. Usually, music distracts me very much, let's see what it is like with Falkenbach...
The "softer" songs are also great for relaxing.
And it has something hypnotizing^^
Sry, I forgot to write it in my first post, but I wanted to discuss with other fans what are the "weak points" of Falkenbach in their opinion.

The anti-Christian part of his lyric.
He does not desperate Christain belief and the belief, in wich the church did errors long time ago.
The most Christian people today changed - time changed.
Most of my friends, who listen to Falkenbach, are of Christian belief and they LOVE Falkenbach, including all lyrics.

If you have problems with the lyrics, the music, the concept or whatever ... don't listen to it. Don't ever tell the artist to change. |

The numbers of these people are growing, particularly in the USA. |

I really LOVE the LYRICS and everything around that!!!
I just said, that PERHAPS WE should differentiate between the CHRISTIAN mythology (how it really should be) and what some people SAY, how christianity should be!!! Understood??
@all: Sure, there are always "idiots", in church, in christianity, in satanism...in everything.
The important values should be, how a mythology / religion is structured in book, not how it will be practicised!!
My best friends are christian (catholic), they practise christianity so nearly how it was written in the bible how they can, and they love Falkenbach and other religions or mythologies.
One of them is studying Scandinaivsm, he lived one year in Iceland in a crowd with (traditional (!!)) heathen people.
They liked eacht other. He also helped a seidr with his meditation, he really loves that stuff.
I hope you all understand, what I mean.

Gezeitenfürst: I think the Falkenbach lyrics focus on the past, and it is good that you have friends who are tolerant. The world needs more tolerant people. Even if Christianity is a religion that is ultimately alien to Europe. I am not about to go door to door and try to convince people that they should believe in something. Sadly, Christians continue to do just that. In some countries they try to pass laws putting their religion in front of others. And the original point I was trying to make, is that there are lots of Christians who believe that all non-Christians are going to hell.

Archwyrm: You must change your point of view: Most of the people, who try to convince others do that, because they (hopefully) WANTS you to go to HEAVEN. Most of them doesn't come again if you tell them, you REALLY DOES NOT WANT to join Christianity. Yes, monotone music is the best music and everyone knows that, it has got much of old school Black Metal and we all kniow old school Black Metal is great, so.. =P
I am thinking that monotone passages like these should just open mind and soul for the listener to become one with the music, to share the feelings and thoughts.
It is just wonderful how Falkenbach is present, i dont know too much Bands like this.

It's the melodie of the song and it has to be repeatet so the song sounds as one part.... every band has a main theme of melodie in a song, if not it sounds very badly.
I think in heathen metal there are many posers who likes lyrics which they can't identify with.
If I listen to music, especially Falkenbach, I agree totally with the lyrics!
It feels like Vratyas write songs about my thinking and feeling.

Well, I'm not against Christianity, there are some things in their religion that I apreciate, but the Catholic Church has often done wrong things. The lyrics are about the past. But I think that there were not that much battles betwenn Christians and Heathens. The believes existed both and I've heard some people worshiped heathen gods AND the christian god.
Thoug, I like almost all lyrics of Falkenbach. And why do you think there are many posers, wotan? Just because some people can't identify with the lyrics they listen to? Then all Death Metal-Fans would be posers. I mean, they do not go around and kill people, but Death Metal songs are often about Splatter-stuff^^

Aaaah, yes, let's talk about religion.
Let's say everyone here knows and accepts the bad things the catholic church did in the past. Now we come to the present. The catholic church preaches that there is only one true god, and all people are of the same worth. But still they have a human being as their leader, they even call him the "representative of god". Isn't that somehow paradox? Thousands of milions of people do everything, the poor even ruin their life just to see him one time.
And what about contraception and Africa? The Pope told the people in Africa not to use condoms nor other contraceptional means, in spite he knew about AIDS as a fast spreading disease down there. So he put the over two thousand years old word of "god" over the life of millions of people, that indeed follow his "advice".
If you can find apologies for those crimes (yes, I call this crimes) we can talk about the less- superficial stuff.
