So far I haven't heard any band that bears strong resemblance to Falkenbach. Lyrically there are, of course, some bands that are very much like Falkenbach but musically there are few, if none at all.
If you mean, as similar as Bathory is, then there are quite a few bands. :)
Few of them here:

Moonsorrow:
It's not exactly "Viking Metal" since lyrics concern mostly Finns and Finnish history but it's epic and has same themes as Falkenbach in some songs. Harsh vocals sung in Finnish along with breathtaking choirs in clean vocals You probably want to check albums "Kivenkantaja" and "Voimasta ja Kunniasta". Others are great too but they might not be the ones you're looking for. They are the only band, who in my opinion rises to the level of Falkenbach and Bathory.

Thyrfing:
First albums are epic viking metal with strong keyboard presence. Later they have taken a different approach and viking themes are not as clear as before. Sound has become more "dirty" instead of epic. It's still great, though. At least"Thyrfing" and "Valdr Galga" might worth checking.

Ensiferum:
Fast and bombastic. It's more catchy than athmosperic in my opinion but nevertheless great. Mixes harsh and clean vocals, both done excellently.

Bal-Sagoth:
You have to have certain sense of humour and stomach for excessive cheese to enjoy this one. ;) It's overly bombastic and epic (yes, it can be) but it's good. No viking or norse themes here. More like epic battles, swords and sorcery. A lot of spoken parts.

Turisas:
In my opinion more similar to Bal-Sagoth(it's more serious though) than Falkenbach. As mentioned, they're still excellent.

Well...the only band that I know which is similar to Falkenbach is Rivendell.
But Windir, Thyrfing and Bathory are also similar, but more different than Rivendell.

Why should I look for bands like Falkenbach, if I can have the original? *gg*
I don't like bands that sound too similar, which is the reason why I don't listen that much Black Metal bands anymore - because they all sound the same.
This is why I am very glad that there still are bands like Falkenbach who don't imitate other bands but create something of their own (this is what art should be all about, right?).
So I don't search for bands with a similar sound, I just search for bands with similar themes. And as long as there aren't any "Vratyas Vakyas impersonators", like all those Elvis-freaks, I don't think a real similarity can be made, because, for me, Falkenbach is strongly defined by the style and the sound of the vocals.

Rivendell: It's the most similar band to Falkenbach as far as I know.
But maybe there is also "Norden" from Poland which is similar to Falkenbach.
They sound really good and there is clean vocal singing, but sometimes also rough vocals. You should listen to them! :)

You made me really curious... ;D but as far, none can reach Falkenbach...maybe it's another good band which we have to know even if it's not similar ( or is? I will check them out! 8-) ) ;)

Everyone has different opions which band sounds similar to Falkenbach.

I think that the polish Iuvenes has some similarities (does that word exist?) to Falkenbach.

In my eyes Rivendell is in some parts similar to Falkenbach. But like nidhoeggr said: everyone has a different opinion and thats why I think no one should disabuse someone.

A small grammar lesson to all... :)
similar to = the same
similar = close, but not the same
Rivendell maybe musically be close...but lyrically not...so yes it is similar but not similar to
resembling is the best word.

I am sure so far everyone knew what was meant by the former postings, even if there were grammatical imperfections.

Improve your English with Skaldic Art.... hehe.
Rivendell is very nice, but it can't reach the atmosphere and the spirit of Falkenbach music.

Think that Rivendell (great) and Fjoergyn are fairly near to Falkenbach

Not really similar to Falkenbach, but more like Bathory; Iuvenes.

The only band I've listened that is similar to Falkenbach music is Rivendell. But no one can reproduce the atmosphere and the epic feelings that create Falkenbach, I think it's just the best in this kind of music.
